Active Release Tecnique

Active Release Technique involves the manipulation of soft tissue — such as muscles and tendons. A pressure is applied to these structures and lengthened through movement with the help of a therapist. This helps to relieve tension and adhesions in soft tissue. ART is also commonly referred to as a pine and release mechanism.

Blood Flow Restriction Training

Blood Flow Restriction is a newer technology in the therapy world that uses a personal tourniquet system to reduce blood flow to muscles. When combines with low intensity exercise, BFR training creates an anaerobic state for the muscles to work in that produces similar results to high intensity training. When joints cannot tolerate weight, such as after surgery, BFR allows patients to exercise with maximum effect and minimal stress.

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) addresses many vestibular disorders including vertigo, dizziness and imbalance and concussion. VRT uses a variety of hands-on techniques and exercises to improve vertigo symptoms, enhance postural stability and improve tolerance to and performance of activities of daily living.
